Hi, I’m Kaitlyn Decker.

I am a mom of five and a birth doula. My path into this work began with my own birth experiences and a desire to make sure other moms feel informed, supported and heard throughout their pregnancies and births. I believe every mom deserves to have a voice in her care and to feel confident in the team supporting her, no matter the circumstances of her delivery.

As a mother, I know how much these moments stay with you long after birth. I bring patients, flexibility, and steady guidance to the families I work with, combining practical preparation before birth, hands-on support during labor, and encouragement through the early postpartum period. Families often tell me they appreciate that I listen without judgment and help them think through options in a calm, supportive way. My goal is always the same - to help you feel prepared, respected, and able to look back on your birth as a strong beginning to your story with your baby.

Living in the greater Charleston area with my family, I especially value the opportunity to support local parents as they grow their families here. I believe birth support should feel both grounded and personal, and I’m honored to walk alongside families during such an important season of life.

I believe every mother deserves to feel confident in her birth team and supported in making informed decisions throughout her pregnancy and labor, and the early postpartum period. As your doula, I provide steady physical support, thoughtful preparation before birth, and evidence-based guidance and support during labor so you can feel grounded and capable as birth unfolds. I support families from Charleston, SC to Columbia, SC in hospital, birth center, and home settings. I work alongside your partner and care team to help you stay informed, comfortable, supported, and connected to your goals. I also continue supporting you in the first weeks after birth with feeding guidance, recovery support, and space to process your experience. My approach is both practical and encouraging. I want you to feel prepared, respected, and truly supported in your birth story.

My Approach

A little more about me

Outside of birth work, I’m a mom of five and homeschool three of my children, so family life is at the center of everything I do. I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY, and moved to the Charleston area a little over a year ago. We’ve quickly fallen in love with the sunshine, the ocean, and the chance to watch our children grow and thrive here. When I’m not supporting families, you can usually find me at the beach, traveling with my crew, or planning our next Disney adventure. I feel incredibly grateful to now be supporting families in this community as they grow their own.
